  • Cozy and Clean in Enid

    5/5

Comfortable and clean apartment that met all our needs. Stayed only a couple of days in Enid to visit a friend. Enjoyed the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center Museum and found it very informative. Appreciated the personal tour of the museum by one of the workers. The Ames, OK Astrobleme was mentioned during our visit so we took a short drive to Ames. The Astrobleme is where an asteroid stuck the Earth many years ago creating a geologically interesting site.

We felt very secure in the apartment because a code was required for the building and a different code for the apartment itself. Only minimal noise at night as expected in a small town with a railroad passing through it. The kitchen had all the supplies that we needed when we cooked. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot.

    Overall a very pleasant stay.

  • Sketchville Neighborhood-freezing cold apartment

    3/5

To review this property correctly, you have to listen to the story. We arrived about an hour early to the property so as suggested, I called the contact person to see if an early check-in was permissible. He agreed to this and since he lived in Hawaii and I was in Okalahoma, he gave me a code to enter to access the apartment. This code did not work so I called him back. He then told me there was a property manager to contact so I called her. The code to get into the property just did not work! I did notice to that there was a freezing breeze coming through the crack in the doorway and thought to myself-ah, refreshing air! To my dismay, when the door finally was opened, two of the windows were WIDE OPEN in the apartment and it was around 14 degrees outside. The apartment was absolutely freezing! Plus, there was dog hair everywhere on the floor. It actually appeared as if someone had done some grooming on their dog and just left all the little dog curls on the floor. Needless to say, my first impression of the building was both cold and messy. The apartment was not cleaned so we couldn't enter when we were told we could so off we went to occupy ourselves for an hour or so. When we came back, the apartment was clean but still absolutely freezing! We turned the heat up on high but this is an old building and did not seem to be well insulated. I called the property manager for another blanket and a towel since there was only one towel in the apartment. She didn't have another blanket to bring so we ended up going over to the local Walmart to buy a blanket. Seriously, we would have woken up as frozen popsicles if we didn't go out and buy our own blanket. We actually ended up leaving a day early. The apartment eventually warmed up but the bathroom still remained very chilly. I would say the apartment looks good in the pictures but it is really on the edge of a pretty sketchy neighborhood too. We did come to Enid to have an adventure and we sure got it at this apartment!
