No Home Away From Home
1/5 This review strongly highlights our vacation shortcomings, particularly the lack of privacy and being told to be mindful that the walls are thin. Despite the promise of a "home away from home," the reality was quite different. My family and I were looking for some place close to the Bronx to unwind, instead we got an apartment sandwiched between two other apartments (up and down). The parking arrangements were inadequate, the laundry facility was not offered, and shared spaces did not offer the expected privacy. Additionally, the absence of essentials such as blankets and condiments (coffee, salt & pepper, etc) was disappointing, forcing us to purchase our own supplies. The inconvenience of being locked out of the premises, and the reminder of not disturbing others (in the house) in the process, further underscored the negative experience. These issues emphasize the need for accurate advertising and better attention to guest comfort and convenience.
