  • Cute little getaway

There was plenty to do here! We loved having a canoe and a couple paddle boards. The paddle boards need some more air in them but they were still functional and a lot of fun! Hot tub was nice and clean, lawn chairs were great too. Loved that there were some board games there as well. The beds were very comfy and the pillows were the best we've ever used! Alex was very great with responding to any questions we had.

  • If you want to relax this place is not for you. This is a place for brave and heroic fly fighters.

Not worth the price they're asking. You will not be able to call anyone to ask questions until you have paid the full price. The photos show everything very beautifully, but it's not.The door to the laundry closet is broken and may fall on your child.A lot of flies.I think there are thousands of flies there.Outside and fly in.You eat with flies, you wake up because flies are crawling on your face, flies are biting and it hurts.Flies are not only in this area but also in the neighbors. It's horrible. The water in the lake is dirty. The lake is shallow and there is mud at the bottom-you will not be able to swim. The lake smells like a swamp. There are a lot of sharp tree seeds on the ground.

  • Lovely lakefront weekend!

Everything is as described. Beds are super comfortable, view is amazing and Alex the property contact is wonderful. Contrary to prior reviews, everything was working (we didn't try the laundry), hot tub operational, zero bugs (well, one housefly). We ate at the Bethel Country Market, the Thia place, and Yiasou (Greek) and highly recommend all. Thank you!!

  • Quiet lakeside retreat, issues mostly fixed

I was concerned about my stay after seeing some negative reviews about this property. I reached out to the property manager about these and they assured me things were fixed. This was largely true, though there were still some houseflies inside when we arrived. The washer/dryer worked fine, if a bit slowly. The hot tub was a nice plus. The kitchen was stocked with the basics except a cutting board, which the owner offered to reimburse me for. I didn't use the canoe but did use the paddleboard and had a pleasant time on the lake. The firepit was great for cold nights but the big ring around it kind of channels the light and heat up and away from you. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would stay again at the rates I paid. As an angler, this is a productive spot, tons of panfish and perch, decent sized ones too. Some chain pickerel and bass too.

  • Smelly water and no washer drier

While the home was beautifully decorated, there were a couple issues. The biggest was that we did not have access to the washer and drier that were shown in the listing, and the water was awful smelling. So while the jacuzzi was nice, it made our bathing suits and towels smell horrible, and then we had no way to wash them. Another thing that should have been expressed to us is that the oven does not work, and the stove top has to be lit manually as the igniters do not work. The last thing, on arrival the house was full of bugs. This is not an exaggeration, my wife and I killed roughly 30 bugs a piece. One of the sliding doors was also unlocked when we arrived. Again, the property was nice, it just seems there are a couple things that need to be worked on if you want to give you clients what is advertised.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Tim, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We shared your feedback with the homeowner, and they let us know they are addressing the items mentioned in your review. The hot tub water has been replaced, and they are adding a bug zapper to the property. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
