  • Very quiet, relaxing setting

    5/5

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. Very quiet and relaxing and within a short drive to groceries or a gas station. Hikes were also close and just a short trip to Asheville. Would highly recommend!

  • Peaceful Hideaway

    5/5

The cabin was everything as described, roomy, comfortable, peaceful and clean. We enjoyed the open dining and living area, as well as, the big front porch and outdoor firepit. The time we spent outside was very calming and the access to the trails was a plus. Totally enjoyed our stay!!

  • Pictures can lie, text cant be misleading

We rented for 4 nights .We left after one night. We left the place much much cleaner than we found it. While it was neat, everything was coated in dust. I washed all the dishes ,silverware, cups etc BEFORE we could use them. th bed in the Master bedroom was so high I couldn't get in it. I'm 5'3".I slept on the sofa. the second bedroom's bed had no box springs. The matrice sagged to the floor then they got in. All the sheet s May have been clean but the spreads and blankets smelled like stale body smell. The highly touted ponds were fished out. We were able to get up the drive way with a truck. The one pro I can site is there was plenty of hot water to shower after I cleaned all the hair out.

  • Great cabin

    5/5

No complaints at all. As others said, it's a bit of a drive to get into the forest and such, but not a bad drive.

  • Awesome High Altitude Energy

    5/5

A few years back stayed about a week at this amazing home away from home...

Spent evenings and early cool mornings writing on the awesome porch ...drinking my coffee and breathing in the mountain air of peacefulness at 3000 ft..

A flat lander myself from Charleston, S.C. got fooled a couple times with the crisp cool feel of mountain mornings on this mountain porch ..

.. .dressing for such.. then going down the hill to slightly warmer air...

My love of music mentioned to the owner. .himself a musician ..loaned me his speakers for my computer ...I enjoyed the wonderful much improved sound and danced in the huge living room for hours ...

My little dog absolutely loved the yard and when I left him crated in the house for a few hours while I shopped..I felt him very safe..

I left this mountain high vacation home rested and recharged

....but remebering the hat on the rocker on the front porch ..with a wonderful vacation memory ....somewhere I have a picture of that hat...

    Thanks Tim ...
