Our stay was wonderful. The house is perfect for families. It was clean , roomy, I’ll be it, a weird configuration. To get to the master you go through another bedroom. The furniture in the living room was nicer than the pictures. It’s a homey place with everything you need.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving week stay at The Sanctuary. Super clean, it had everything we needed for us to rest, cook and grill. There is no T-mobile service in Highlands, but internet in the cabin is strong. We did some hiking, visited a couple of waterfalls and tried fishing. The kids enjoyed the snow tubing and roller coaster at Highlands Outpost. Dick, the property manager responded promptly to our requests. We will definitely stay at The Sanctuary again if we are around the area.

This house was perfect for my family's mountain vacation. With so many activities, we spent the majority of our time outside of the home. Very conveniently located for downtown Highlands, beautiful hiking trails, and so much more! For the nights we stayed in, we had the basic kitchen essentials and the charcoal grill was perfect! The "house manual" had all kinds of activity and restaurant ideas too. We plan to come back next year!

This is a GEM! The property is so peaceful w/ a sprawling lawn and enchanting land surrounding. The home is spacious and the oversized windows allow to see so much GREEN and the original wood walls feels so cosy. We loved having a carport to load and unload under and it is an easy zip down to Main Street! This home has new large extra comfy chairs and sofas, and comes equipped with everything someone could need & perfectly captures the peaceful getaway Highlands offers. We've been coming to Highlands for 20 years & this is a top must stay home!

A whimsical, eccentric 3 BR/2BA with an unusual layout (one bedroom can only be accessed by going through another, though this wasn't a problem as my elderly mom took the far room and was able to sleep early and late when the rest of us were still up). Rustic but dated. Convenient to town (about 5 minute drive).
