  • Beautiful Location

This cabin has a spectacular layout and an amazing view. The screened porch and the outer porch are perfect for hours with your family. It was well equipped, clean and the layout worked well for our group. We broke in the new firepit that is not pictured. It was completed the day before our visit. It's a long haul up this mountain (you'll climb more than 1,000 feet to 4,500 feet) from the main road. If you're looking for peace and quiet and great views it's perfect. If you're planning to go into Cashiers or Highlands for every meal this may not be the location for you. We loved it and would consider returning in the future.

  • Peaceful, Comfortable, Clean

If you are looking for a quiet, clean place to relax away from it all, this is it. The expansive screened in porch is the home's showstopper, but the kitchen, living room and bathrooms are all well updated and kept everyone comfortable. The house is a bit further from town than we expected, but its a worthy tradeoff for the view and absolute peace and quiet. The new homeowners have installed a new fire pit area that we thoroughly enjoyed. We were there in the peak of summer and perhaps thanks to a bit of rain, the house was always cool despite a lack of AC. Our experience suggests that it would only be necessary a week or so a year. The new homeowners were communicative and helpful and we loved our experience.

  • Trip to visit family

Beautiful home in mountains, expert craftsmanship to home, excellent views, friendly manager and owner. Everything you need is there. Cell reception had no issues. Lovely decor. Very clean. We will be back.

  • Disappointing

The house itself was clean, but the outside porch floor was dirty. The worst was the v-shaped mattresses on the queen beds downstairs. The sagging mattresses made it very difficult for two to share the bed and get a good night’s sleep. Our son-in-law finally moved to a friends house each evening so he and our pregnant daughter could get a decent night’s sleep. One guest in the other bedroom left early. The kitchen refrigerator did not have a working ice maker nor ice cube trays. The details on the house should have mentioned that there was no air conditioning. It was badly needed. This was a very disappointing rental.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Mary, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
-The property is located in the woods, and the back patio may need to be swept by guests, especially if it rains, as tree debris and dust can collect quickly.
-While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattresses didn't meet your preferences. We feel they are comfortable.
-The kitchen refrigerator is brand new, and the ice machine isn't hooked up yet. We've added ice trays until we can get someone to service the ice machine.
-There is also another full-size refrigerator in the laundry room, and the ice maker is fully functional.
-We don't list A/C as an amenity.
-We encourage guests to reach out to the Guest Contact during their stay with any questions or concerns, so we can address them immediately.
