  • Convenient, clean and quiet- intermittent car noise since right on roadway, but also river right out back.

Very pretty scenery. The unit had lots of pretty and unique wooden accents. And oh boy, that hot water heater; we never ran out of hot water, which is sometimes a concern with multi-unit buildings. Very nice stay. We were in communication with the owners via text message and had a very positive experience.

  • Cozy, therapeutic and fully equipped!

I didn’t get to experience all that came with this property due to not staying long enough but everything I did experience was enjoyable! No complaints about anything.

  • Loved it!

Perfect little getaway.. not too far from Asheville and plenty of hiking! Visit Appalachian Java in downtown Burnsville! It is the perfect spot for breakfast with a view of a small town.

  • Maybe its just me...

Let me start by saying this is a cute...quaint off the grid little apartment...but because I am a person who relies heavily on reviews I have to be completely honest about my stay...and absolutely NO offense to the owners!! First thing was the distance from the parking lot...to the narrow staircase and up that staircase with enough items for 4 days...the stairs are narrow... you have to unload and walk over rocks to get to them...and if traveling with small children or unleashed pets put them inside because the apartment is very close to a road that is curvy and people drive super fast on...yes its in the woods but the spiderwebs and many many bugs was a lot!! Second...the pictures are missing 2 important items...in my opinion...one is the window unit AC...it is not pictured on the website and is something I wasnt expecting and because it was only in the living room the bedroom wasnt as cold as I would have liked...but again thats just me...the other thing missing from the picture is the screen door on the bedroom door to the deck...I bought a screen because I was super excited about listening to the river...but the screen door has a gap at the bottom so bugs would get in...lots of bugs...after realizing on day 1 that the screen had a gap we stopped leaving the door open but were amazed at the amount of things that fly still getting in...The bed is super firm and comfy...the shower was fantastic...the place was very clean...had a good supply of things to use in the kitchen...the picture shows a recliner in the living room which is not there...its a regular arm chair and the chair and plant in the pictures are not in the bedroom...ONLY a bed..lamps and ceiling fan in the bedroom...we did pack a smart tv for the bedroom...but thats just our thing...again as I stated before I myself read many reviews before I rent a place and these are things that were part of my experience...good or bad its just my honest review of the property!! There were 4 local farm fresh eggs in the very clean fridge which was really kind...thank you!!

    Manager's Response:

Hi Tamara, we’re glad that your stay was an overall great experience. The owners have some comments about your review: “Glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We have changed out some of the furnishings, but haven't had new pictures taken, because we are planning to upgrade the appliances as well. With the intention to have new pictures taken once all of the upgrades are made. The listing clearly states that our a/c unit is a window unit in the living room, and the apartment is small so one unit is generally sufficient.” It was a pleasure to travel with you Tamara.
