  • Gorgeous but way out there.

    4/5

We booked based on the view and it listing a firepit on property. Upon arrival and after confirmation with the manager, the firepit was recently removed with widening the driveway. There is no yard, only the deck. Not the best location for kids, with being so secluded. Amazing view though! Maybe a great place for all adults. Nearest town is 25 minutes. Became too much of a commute after a few days.

  • Great spot for remote solitude

    5/5

Beautiful place that is secluded and tucked away in the mountains. Great wifi and satellite tv at the property. Make sure to have directions and check in instructions accessible without cell service, it is tough to get as you are approaching. Really cool secluded location to get away from it all.

This is a great house. Clean, well maintained, well stocked and private. In the middle of the woods with no light or noise. We appreciated the linens being provided and the extra pillows and blankets. We loved the deck furniture and that the grill was provided so we could cook a birthday hamburger for one of our guests father who lives in the area. Easy check in and a very involved management group hosting the property. I like to go into more detail In reviews to help others get a better understanding from a renters perspective.

We had 2 families staying here to attend a family reunion in the area. There were 8 of us. For 2 nights it was fine but it was tight. Part of the family loved being secluded and the other part didn’t. So I thought I would go into more detail about that. This house is out there. I know it tells you in the description but it is really out there. Up a one lane, curvy gravel road that you travel on for a couple miles before you get to the property. We did turn our 4x4 on just in case because some areas were very steep. Even the ones who really loved and appreciated the secludedness(that are from this area) said that they would be nervous to go up the mountain in the snow even in 4 wheel drive. 2 trucks in the driveway was tight and I wouldn’t want to park another unless it was small. Waze did not work for us. We did take the directions with us(that they sent us) but something that isn’t in the instructions is how for down the road each turn is. Turn your map on and zoom in so you can see it coming up. When you are coming up to the house, slow down and look up or you’ll miss it.

If being secluded is what you want then this is definitely the house for you. If you don’t like those steep, mountain roads or being far out then this is not your place.

Overall this was a great place to stay. Happy adventuring!

  • What a view!

    4/5

Everything was great except the fridge didn’t work for several hours and the drive to the home is all gravel. I wish VRBO would include addresses of the property before u check out. House was beautiful, clean and spacious. Bout a 35-40 min drive to Bryson which was a little inconvenient since we were there to see people. If this was a getaway trip, the location would have been perfect.
