  The "Bears Den" was our absolute favorite place so far !

  All the Comforts of home and convenience of being close to the lake, we loved EVERYTHING about it 🥰

  We will Most Definitely be back and would be proud to tell everyone about our wonderful adventures beginning in "The Bears Den"

• Nice condo, poor maintenance!!

  When I contacted the property manager, I was informed that the previous renters had left the condo in a terrible condition. Remote for the main TV was missing, two of the night stands were broken off the wall. The kitchen chair was broken, not able to use it. The kitchen faucet was loose, so we tightened it to be able to use it. Advertised for 3 king rooms, only 2 king rooms, the middle room is a double bed. The condo had an awful odor. I believe this is because the furnace/air conditioner filter was so dirty that it was sucked up into the unit. There was no air coming out of any of the vents in the condo. We purchased a new air filter, just to survive our stay. This didn't really make the smell better but the air flow was tolerable at least. The kitchen chandelier was missing a shade and a bulb, so we had to purchase a bulb to be able to see in the kitchen. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 bathrooms. We had to purchase a lot of items for the condo to be able to live. The listing doesn't advertise to bring any supplies. We really feel for the amount of money that we spent on the condo, a lot of things need to be addressed in regards to maintenance and cleanliness. Also, if the renter is to be responsible for the upkeep of the condo, then there should be something in the listing that says this is to be expected. I would advise looking at other condos before booking this one, you would get your money's worth. This one we definitely did not!!!

  Hi Meghan, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - Before check-in, we did inform you about some maintenance issues. Due to a busy schedule, we were unable to address some of the cosmetic issues before your arrival. While we didn't anticipate that these issues would negatively impact your stay, we sincerely apologize if they did.
  - Upon further inspection, we found that there was no shortage of toilet paper supply in the condo. Extra toilet paper can be found in the cabinet in the bathroom. Nevertheless, we truly value your feedback, and as a gesture to enhance your experience, we delivered extra toilet paper along with the new remote control for the TV.
  - We appreciate you bringing these maintenance issues to our attention. There was a dining room chair that needed repair and two nightstands that were wall-mounted, which unfortunately came off when a previous guest sat on them. The mounting for these required a specialized part that had to be purchased by our maintenance team. We're pleased to share that all of these repairs were completed this month when we had a break in bookings.
  - We've updated the listing accordingly to convey that the middle bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the sofa bed is queen-sized. The other two bedrooms still feature king-size beds.
  - We conducted a thorough check but couldn't detect any unusual odors within the property. Sometimes odors from outdoor activities such as barbecuing can migrate indoors.

  We enjoyed our stay. It was a great place for our group of five. The cabin decor was cute and since it was cooler during part of our stay we enjoyed the fireplace. The location is wonderful. It's off the main strip but close enough to anything you want to do. (I can't imagine that hill in snow or ice though...yikes!) Communication with the guest contact was very good.

  The only negatives: the dishwasher wasn't working. After letting our contact know, they immediately sent someone to look at it. It required ordering a part, so it didn't work our entire stay, but that wasn't a big issue since we only ate breakfast at the condo. As others noted, the overhead neighbors were loud much of the time. The mattresses are very firm. It would be nice to have a few more blankets to use on the beds. A few more luggage racks would be nice for a group of five. (I dislike leaving my suitcases on the floor.)

  But overall it was a great place with everything we really needed and more. We would definitely stay here again.
