Beautiful home. Could’ve been cleaner and towels/linens could’ve been nicer. Outlets didn’t work in basement level. We would stay here again.

First time visiting Big Canoe. Booked a weekend to celebrate our Mother’s 80th Birthday. Beautiful cabin. Had some difficulty accessing the home bc we assumed what we learned was the emergency key pad was not how to access the home. Clearer instructions to use the keypad which we finally found on the front door would’ve been helpful. Our silly mistake. Watching television was a bit challenging as the remotes were hidden in a basket in the main room, and we weren’t familiar with how to use Roku and the other options as opposed to cable. The Welcome Binder was discovered at the end of the weekend prior to our departure as it also had been tucked beneath the modem and not visible for our access. The thumb latch on the door knob to the screened in porch and outdoor deck is in need of attention as it does not unlock easily. We had great difficulty unlocking it. The fireplace in the master bedroom on the main floor is inoperable. Would’ve been nice to have that to cozy up to as we lay in bed.Overall, despite these few challenges, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting Big Canoe again. Big thanks to Tonja for responding to my questions so quickly. We had a fun first time experience.
