  • Great location for enjoying the outdoors!

    5/5

We enjoyed our stay at the Clayton condo. The location is close to all the outdoor activities we were seeking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and so much hiking. Although an attached condo it was incredibly quiet and we didn't hear any neighbor noise. The condo was really well stocked too with soap, dishwasher tabs and plenty of towels. The kids used the pool as well. The condo binder was full of useful information and instructions. The description on cell phone service was accurate, it's not great for calls but there is a house phone to order pizza or schedule trips. My only compliant was the carpet, it was really dirty. Which was surprising because the rest of the condo was clean and tidy. Knowing that going in I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • Another great stay!

    5/5

This was our second year returning to this condo. There were upgrades since last year and the condo was in wonderful condition. Very clean, well stocked, comfy beds - everything our family needed for a few days away! We enjoyed the indoor pool, the boys played 9 holes of golf, and the girls found a local pedicure spot. We hiked and also enjoyed great food downtown Clayton. I have recommended this place to many friends! Thanks for a great stay!

  • Very nice stay!

    5/5

We enjoyed a 5-night stay here in March 2022. We found the condo exactly as described. Everything was clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. It is a perfect location close to Clayton. I enjoyed the nature trail despite some storm damaged trees (inquire at the clubhouse how to reach the trail)---there are 3 beautiful waterfalls to see! My husband and son enjoyed the indoor pool access. Glenda was a joy to work with. She was always available by text for any concerns we had. We had one minor issue and she literally had it solved within a couple of hours! We were very impressed. Will definitely keep this on our list of places to stay when visiting family in the area! The kitchen was well stocked. The fridge has an ice maker but no water dispenser, however there is a large filter dispenser inside the fridge that was filled and filtered for us when we arrived. A bicycle is parked on the balcony that guests can use around the resort. Several games and books provided us fun entertainment esp. with our 7 year old. Note that the cell phone signal is very poor. Internet/wifi/Dishnetwork/streaming are all fine. We had to drive back up Hwy 76 into Clayton to make cell calls. But if you have wi-fi calling capabilities, I think that will work...we didn't try. A helpful tip: the road that leads to the unit is the first left after you enter the golf club's main gate, right at the end of the duck pond. The road is kind of a dipsy-doodle adventure so be careful esp. at the "blind" hill/intersection at the top of the incline. But the road is paved and easy to drive, not a scary mountain road. (If you want that, check out the new homes being built across the highway...we did, and vowed never to drive THAT road again! Oh my gosh! Hahahaha) For the reviewers complaining about the cosmetic "deficiencies" of the condo, I can only roll my eyes. It's a rental unit. There are going to be some scuffs on the paint and marks on the carpet. So what? We had a great stay and are already considering booking again for our next visit to the area. My only suggestion to the owner/manager would be to include a map of the resort in the condo info folder. Thank you, Glenda, for being a wonderful host!

  • Smelled of dog

    3/5

Well kept outside complex but the first thing I noticed when we entered the unit was a dog smell. I found some Febreeze and spread the place. The second thing I noticed was that none of the cabinets closed in the kitchen or bathrooms. The place needs some attention and a refresh for sure. On the positive side, the place was well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, cleaners and towels. The beds were comfortable. The view is very nice out on a large screened balcony with a view of the mountains although the balcony was filled with dead lady bugs on the floor. On the property there was a club house with an inside heated pool, hot tubs, sauna and steam room that were nice. The contact person for the condo was very helpful and quick to answer any questions by email. I probably would not stay there again until they did some major rehab to the place.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Anne, thanks for letting us know about your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following:
    - Our unit is not dog friendly so we were surprised to hear your concern about the dog smell. The apartment had been fully cleaned and sanitized prior to your stay and though our cleaning team did not detect any odors, we appreciate you letting us know and will investigate further.
    - We are looking into the issue with the kitchen cabinets and have plans to replace the bathroom cabinetry entirely this summer.
    - The ladybugs are a seasonal issue in our area and we apologize that they affected your stay. We will call our exterminators to see if they have any additional remedies for this.
    Thanks for your valuable feedback!

  • Great Location For Family

    4/5

Cute little place. I don't think it was checked before we checked in. There were lady bugs on the floor. Carpet needs replaced bc of stains. Over all cleanliness was not that great. Other than that everything was good.
