  • dirty house in bad area

the pictures of this house had to have been taken 10 years ago. all the stuff pictured is still there but just old and dirty and torn up. the couch was ripped the bed spreads were old and dirty. the walls down the hall had visible black dirt and grim down them the walls had chunks out of them the baseboards and molding had paint literally chipping off of them. the floor vent had inches of dirt and grim on them and was falling into the floor about 3 inches. there was no closet door on the hall closet and the other doors had wood splitting and coming off. the counters were dirty the appliances were dirty the cabinets were dirty and the inside of the cabinets had random garbage thrown in them. nothing was cleaned at all. the basement ceiling tiles were falling down and they had brown stains on them the basement toilet was leaking the door in the basement didn’t lock , their were no smoke detectors in the basement just the base of them where they were taken off. this house was dirty in bad shape. nothing was cleaned or repaired. the area is bad and had multiple house’s boarded up through out the neighborhood. i could go on but just be warned.

  • Atlanta for 5 days

The home was spacious with good sized rooms on a quiet street. It was close to all of the attractions we wanted to see especially the downtown attractions.

  • Plan ahead to cool the house down

There was no air on when we arrived and the house registered at 88 degrees. Thank goodness it was raining and slightly cooler that day, I mean this is Atlanta after all. Its not know for being cool. We arrived in the evening at 8:30pm and so at 11:30pm it had only cooled down to 84. We were barely able to play ping pong since we were dripping sweat and my son felt physically ill from the heat. Sleeping the first night was literally hell.

When this was discussed with the owner I was told it takes 4 hours to cool down the house, I feel this should be something taken care of four hours prior to check in when you know people will be staying there. Not something the customer has to suffer through especially when people arrive late and just want to sleep in a cool house.

The ping pong paddles really could be replaced. For as much as it is to stay there the replacement paddles are $10 max and it would be nice to have things that are not trashed and broken to play with.

If they arent planning to paint the house they should at least wash the walls. While most surfaces seemed clean the walls were gross and made me question the state of the floors.

While it wasnt completely awful it wasnt amazing either.

  • Family Trip

The rental was just as it was listed. Very nice and comfortable home with a nice yard that the kids enjoyed....just as much as the board games, ping pong table, and streetfighter video game. Our only issue was the outside left rail was loose going up the stairs that were very high. But not worth complaining about. We were able to get to Six Flags in 15 mins, which was amazing. Our host "Mo", answered any time we had a quick question. We would definitely stay here again!
