First off, I rather enjoy The Villages. My 11 year old son and I have stayed there on two different occasions. No issues either stay. The reason I titled this review "big brother" was because the homeowner had cameras on the premises. So my son and I felt uncomfortable the entire visit. This feeling prompted me purchase my own cameras. I used them to make sure the home was not being entered when my son and I were not there. That how I cough the owner (or someone) entering the property one day while we where not there. Nothing I know of was stolen, but the fact that the home was entire during my rental timeframe was disconcerting. Yes, normally the homeowner has the right to enter their own property. It just felt very different seeing it on camera while all of your food and other personal belongings are there. When you see someone (on camera)walking through the living room of the house your renting, it provokes an unsafe feeling.Again, the house was wonderful. It's just the knowledge of being watched. Your every movement being recorded and monitored, changed our experience. Though the home was lovely, I'd rather put down a large deposit then to be spied on during your trip.

Ngozi, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify a few things raised in your review:
We sincerely apologize if you felt uncomfortable at all during your stay. This was never our intention and we truly care about our guests and their privacy. Your stay was a last-minute booking and we needed to replace the battery in our garage door opener and leave clean sheets for the maid. Since we could not access the garage, we called ahead and rang the bell before entering the house to get to the garage. We made sure you were aware before we stopped by so we were surprised to hear differently in your review. We apologize if we caught you off guard and can assure you that we have no cameras inside the house. This was an unusual situation and we deeply regret that anyone would think that we do not respect guest privacy. That is certainly not the case. We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays.
This is a beautiful home that is well stocked! The owner was very responsive & helpful when questions arose. Would definitely stay here again.
