• Don’t bring a boat

  Most things inside and outside don’t work or have been struck by lightning. Examples are the microwave, the lower part of the fridge, the tv outside, oh and the hot tub didn’t work until Wednesday of our trip. It started on Saturday. Guest Bed in picture isn’t the guest bed you get. There is no dock for you to put a boat on. We rented a boat and told the property manager before hand and since it was a shared dock. Owners boat is there so It’s a fishing pier.They want you to tie it off to the pilings and stairs at the bottom of the dock???? All the other property lawns look great except that one. We should have known then. The neighbors are and will be watching the entire time. It’s in a community where they don’t want any guests, so they watch you the entire time and report back to the property manager. The fan on the deck overlooking the bay is so loud you can’t turn it on.

  The hot tub doesn’t have jets so that’s a bummer. The lock on the front door was broken when we showed up. The hot tub was half empty and a used band aid and fork were next to it. Very disgusting. The suction line was open on the pool and the cap is broke off and luckily we found it after one of the kids found it. Our friend had her skin sucked into it and pinched. Extremely painful for her in a “relaxing” environment. If you would like pictures or video please let me know. I have it all documented. Overall it was one of the worst places I’ve stayed. Area was awesome

  Owner's response: "Michael, We work on our home constantly and we thank you for bringing these items to our attention. We don't always know when something is not working, but when brought to our attention we get them taken care of. We try to ensure that the property is up to date on maintenance and we make upgrades to make it a great place for all our guests to enjoy.
  
  - We apologize for the things that are out of our control like lightning, which hit the bonus TV outside, and a microwave door breaking.
  - We do provide a microwave on the counter for our guest's use, the built-in unit is not available at this time.
  - The ceiling fan on the back deck has been replaced.
  - The bonus TV has been removed.
  - The suction port has been repaired, the flat was broken off and we were unaware of this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
  - We offer 2 kings, 2 queens, and 2 twins. Was the bed not satisfactory? The photos in the listing are accurate.
  - We understand you were able to get into the house and we were unaware that the lock was broken. Once you brought it to our attention we were there within the hour to replace it.
  - The neighbors were not in town the week of your stay. They have a camera on their boatlift. They had taken their boat away for the week because the lift was in need of repair. You could imagine the horror when they looked at the camera to see you and your boat on their lift.
  - We are upset that we did what we could for you while you were at the property, and do not feel this warrants a low score review. We do our best for all our guests and want them to enjoy our home and all our amenities.
  
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we know we can deliver."

  We were so pleased with the house. The description on VRBO was precise. Patty the house manager was very nice and solved any issue we had immediately.

  House was everything that we thought and hoped it would be!

  We thought the property would be great just because of the description and pictures. But, it was better than we imagined. The property was phenomenal. When we got there it was absolutely spotless. Whoever handles the housekeeping is great. We had a couple of minor issues that were immediately handles by Patty (mgr) and Brian (maint). They were incredibly responsive. The pool service showed up one afternoon to make sure the chems were right, and he was very nice and personable. We literally didn't have to bring anything as the house was fully stocked with everything you would need, right own to cooking utensils. FLAWLESS!!
