We stayed in this home (townhome) for Spring Break (March 20th - 23rd). Upon check-in, housekeeping was still in the home cleaning. It was clear that they had just started cleaning with a huge pile of linens on the living room floor. The time was 3:55 pm when we arrived, and the check-in was scheduled at 2:00 pm. We arrived closer to 4:00 pm as that's when we arrived in the area. The housekeeper argued with me about the check-in time to where I literally had to show her the “check-in” information I was sent… Good grief! I told the housekeeper we just wanted to drop our luggage and head to the grocery store so she could finish cleaning. As soon as we grabbed our luggage from the vehicle and brought it upstairs the housekeeper said she was done. I was quite surprised. Well, she did an absolutely horrible job getting my stay off to a bad start. Management should take note of the crappy cleaning service they have on staff. I text the host several times and she never responded so we figured it out on our own. No biggie, we managed. I ended up vacuuming the floor and cleaning several areas of the home. Anyways on to the home. The sofa was extremely comfortable and the views from the kitchen, dining and living room were beautiful. The home is spacious. The kitchen was somewhat stocked with the items needed to prepare meals. The upstairs has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Upon booking I thought the upstairs only had two bedrooms but the room with the bunks and queen bed can actually be divided by a partition wall. The only downside we found (besides the crappy housekeeping job) is that it is right off a busy roadway and you can hear the road traffic inside. The ice-skating rink was closed and needless to say we were disappointed. We Floridians did not take kindly to the 10,800 elevation AND staying in a two-story townhome, so we headed back to Denver a night early. Be prepared if you are not used to these types of elevations... Lord, it was brutal. Brutal enough that I'm not so sure I'm going to Keystone anytime in the near future. I recommend you shop just outside of this area as we went to the grocery store and they were out of A LOT of stuff, not to mention their prices were outrageous. In all, the townhome was nice and close to everything.

  • Exceeded all expectations

    5/5

The location of this property is great, right near the Lodge and Spa. There is great food options walkable or a short bus ride away. The community amenities are better than we expected and gave a great way to relax and recover in the mornings. The ceiling height in this unit was a surprise and made it feel much more spacious. I will keep this in mind for next ski season as a great place to stay

Very comfortable and spacious condo with a great waterfront location. Very close to ski drop off and pool. Enjoyed very much and will definitely stay in this location again.

  • Gorgeous Setting but Disappointing Experience Overall

    2/5

The Lake Keystone setting is very beautiful and opportunities for recreation are unbounded and it's close proximity to Breckenridge makes it a great bonus. We have stayed in the area many times over the years. However, there were several problems with this particular condo and the owner/operator was not responsive in the least to our needs. Issues include: We arrived in the dark only to discover that there was no outside lighting. This made walking up the flight and a half of stairs in the dark multiple times, very difficult. I called our contact to find out how to turn on the outside lights but got no response. I could not leave a message because their voice mailbox was full. I instead sent an email that was never responded to. I still don't know how to turn on the outside lights at this condo. There were 5 burned out lights in the living room/dining room. Despite multiple contacts, those lights were still burned out when we checked out.The main lamp and one of the reading lights in the master bedroom were also burned out and not replaced during our stay. The shower in the master bath could not be used because the drain plug could not be opened. That was also not fixed during our stay. The TV is not connected to cable or satellite making it impossible to watch network news or network programming. The TV instead is connected to the Internet and runs an awful program called Pluto TV which has no programming of interest. There is a one car garage available and can be opened and closed with a remote control. That worked fine until I walked out the small garage door leaving the remote control inside my vehicle. It was then that I discovered I did not have a magnetic key to get into the garage. I called our contact but got no response forcing me too find a security guard to let me into the garage to retrieve the remote control. We checked out one day early because of these defects and the day after we left I received a text message from the owner/operator saying all these problems had been fixed.. In conclusion, this is a great location and the condo was nice for the most part but these nagging problems and the lack of response from the owner/operator prevents me from recommending this particular property.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Joe, we're sorry to hear that your stay fell short of expectations. We followed up with the homeowner who'd like to share the following:
    - We are very sorry that our contact was out of signal for the first day of your stay. As soon as we heard of your complaints, we offered to have a maintenance member change out the bulbs.
    - As described on the listing, we have a Smart TV so that guests are able to connect to their own streaming services during their stay.
    - We do encourage guests to remember to bring the garage control when they leave so that they do not experience issues re-entering!
Thanks for your feedback we look forward to hosting many satisfied guests!
