We go to Joshua Tree for the hiking and like to stay in a desert home. This home is spacious, with a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful view over the valley. This home is not as removed from surrounding homes as some, but the location is convenient to the park and has easy access. That and being more reasonably priced than some makes this house a great choice. Lots of options for outdoor seating to enjoy the winter sun! We had couple of issues on arrival but they were dealt with quickly - communication was great. Thank-you for sharing your home!

We enjoyed our stay for the most part. We loved all the included amenities. There was more than enough space to roam the beautiful gardens.
We had an ant issue that was not pleasant as they were around the kitchen sink and counters. We also had an electrical issue. A circuit burnt out so some of the living room lights and the TV did not work. The host did bring us an extension cord to use but they needed an electrician to replace an outlet. We were missing a broom and a cooler would have been nice. Also the laundry facilities and garage were locked and not for our use...Fans in all of thr bathrooms as well as screens in the windows would be a plus. It is a beautiful setting though. With a little time and work it could be even better. The pantry could use a cleaning as well.
What an amazing space this home owner has created. The outdoor living area is magic and the views out the front window are spectacular. Bonus points for the outdoor shower - that was unexpected bliss. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is beautiful and the location is ideal for visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was not functioning when we arrived at the property and the home remained at 95 degrees until around midnight on our first night. The owner, property manager and "helper" whose contact information was listed inside the home were all several states away, so they were unable to help us in person. The owner did spend time with me on the phone late into the night trying to explain how to flip the breaker etc., in order for the air to turn on. Finally, we realized that the problem was that she controls the system remotely, which she never mentioned; so if you rent this property be prepared to not be able to control the temperature yourself. We would have rather stayed in a much cheaper hotel and slept well so we could fully enjoy the surrounding beauty. Also, part of the attraction of Vrbo rentals is that you have all the comfort of home. However, in this house the washer and dryer are locked away in a private space, so after a terrible night's sleep we had to go to a laundry mat to do our washing. We stayed in five houses in California and this was the only one in which we could not wash our clothes.

Our family enjoyed staying here. We haven’t experienced staying in the desert before, and this property has beautiful desert landscaping. Lots of room and great star gazing spot.
