Nice setting in a remote location.
4/5 Myself and 4 other ladies rented this home for a mini Scrapbooking Retreat. Finding the right gate was challenging, as it is in the middle of several vineyards. But, with the homeowners help, I was able to find it. There was plenty of room for all of us and plenty of beds. The accommodations were nice, but could’ve been better. The beds were okay, not very comfortable and one of the ladies said her bedding smelled as if it hadn’t been cleaned before our stay. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, although the toaster oven was missing one dial, and the other two were so worn off that you couldn’t tell what any of the settings were. There is a jetted tub in the master bathroom that we were told worked just fine, however, after stepping into it and finally finding the control panel, it had been disconnected. So, no jetted tub. The tub was still nice, but I’d recommend that the homeowner puts down some non-skid stickers on the bottom as it is incredibly slippery. There are a couple of ceiling fans in the main family room that had working lights, but the fans wouldn’t turn on. Also, the shades on the windows in most of the house were broken, so getting cool air was challenging. Communication with the homeowner was good. There was a stray dog that showed up and “adopted” our group. The homeowner asked around and no one knew who he was, so one of our group brought him to a shelter. All in all, it was a nice place to stay for our Retreat, as most places have one or two “bumps”. As long as you are able to “go with the flow” these “bumps” shouldn’t make your trip horrible. Kudos to the homeowner for recommending a fabulous local restaurant to us! We had a fabulous meal at Pastosa’s by Lucia! It was delicious!
