Loved the floor plan. Layout was perfect. Unfortunately lots of problems with the bottom bathroom. Leigha our contact was incredible, above and beyond helpful.

After reading all reviews we came prepared with expectations. Finding the place was not hard but please be aware that the house number posted on the tree is missing heading number 1. Also, if you are driving a trailer, do not drive into cul de sac, it is nearly possible to turn around. Park right after you make a turn to the street. We had no issues finding a space even on the Holiday weekend. If you are looking for a manicured luxurious experience, then look for something else. This is a very amazing, antique looking, cozy and comfortable home. October is a warm month in California, so yes it was hot at night. Upstairs king suit was too warm, but downstairs queen bedroom and bank bed room were comfortable temperatures. Very nice dog room outdoors but for small dogs, I would not leave hunting or digging dogs in there for long. Backyard is not fenced but provides very nice area for walking dogs unless you like working your glutes up and down hills around. Ther is no dishwasher, so come prepared to hand wash all dishes. Towels are plenty, but no beach towels if you need any. Fry pans are old, so plan accordingly. I left cutting board there and some kitchen towels, but bring more paper towels and tissues if you need it. I also brought dish soap and sponge and did not regret. There are no wine glasses but I think for a reason. Sinks are ceramic and it is easy to break stuff while washing. Plenty of everything else. Very small shelf space, but great size fridge. You will love the place. Definitely worth the stay. Decor is adorable!!!

  • limited parking access

    3/5

Original pictures of listing were not what we walked in to upon check in. The refrigerator made a horrible noise almost the entire stay and the counter had ants. Kitchen was equipped to cook full meals once you could figure out the oven because it was not simple to just turn on. There was an area on the lower deck for pets to stay / potty. Parking was terrible, driveway was very steep and at the end of a cul-de-sac making any other vehicles very tight to turn around. The towels were not in the restrooms, rather still wet in the dryer which wasn't discovered until the family started taking showers. The downstairs projector was nice and couches were very comfortable.

    - The photos have since been updated and I assure you they now reflect the property as is
    - We have made changes to the local management to ensure our guests are taken care of, I'm sorry about the issues you had while in our home

The property was nice. There was some miscommunication at check-in, but it was resolved quickly. There were small things that would cause me not to return- no hand soap, limited towels, ant issue, but the biggest problem was how hot it was. Only living spaces had ceiling fans, and there was one tiny plug-in fan. The nights were brutally hot. We had to go to the store and buy a fan! But the worst of it was on our last night. We were downstairs, watching movies and playing board games. We did not hear the door upstairs, but did hear someone calling out because A STRANGER LET HIMSELF IN THE HOUSE!!!! I looked up the stairs to see a strange man standing at the top. I was scared to death. He said the owners sent him to fix the freezer, but no one told us. He had no ID and did not share his name. It was horrible. The management company was nice about it, but no refund. I will never, ever use Evolve again, and definitely will not be staying at this property.

  • 2022 California Family Vacation

    5/5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was spacious and comfortable. We cleaned the windows and screens to open up the living room and enjoy the wonderful breeze and view. We had a family night watching a movie downstairs with the projector. So nice. Spent a day at Lake Gregory, which was so pretty. Actually swam next to a rainbow trout the length of my adult arm. Went to Lake Arrowhead and had a wonderful lunch. Really wish we had planned more than 3 nights. We could definitely have spent two weeks there. Very relaxing.
