Terry, we’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We take the accuracy of our listing seriously and verified we describe the property details accurately in our listing description. Our home is listed as a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom vacation rental built in the 1930s.
Its age and distinct character are part of its charm. It's what we and others who have stayed there over the years have found especially appealing. While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to report that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend.
A very well located property. The place was beauiful. The reality was much better than the photos on the VRBO site.Had an enjoyable and pleasent stay. Would like to come back if prices don't get hiked. Also, they are pet friendly.

Spacious kitchen for a small house We parked on street in front, didn’t see a driveway, maybe off the alley in the back, description didn’t say and we didn’t try driving into the alley Couldn’t get the Kuerig coffee maker to work, thankfully there was a French Press there to use.Shower was nice and hot with good pressure, nice clean towels House is old but ok. Cleaner needs to remember to shake out the bathroom rugs. Good pizza place within walking distance Lots of coffee pods provided, (thank you) we opened them and used for making coffee in French Press.

When we arrived we were very disappointed that there was no firepit, the city won’t allow it (per the Vrbo contact). The property had a ton of dog poop on it (which we cleaned up). The house itself is very cute but has a funky odor we just could not get rid of. The coffee maker did not work so we had to run out to the circle k to get coffee each morning. The bed was very comfortable and the heat worked wonderfully except in the bathroom…which made it very hard to shower in the morning. We went for the bluegrass festival (which we go to every year) and had a wonderful time there but we will not be back to this little house again.
