Location was great, close to downtown and our birding interests. The property was overall nice, but we did have a few issues. We didn't know the towels were in the dryer (nor whether the two left out were clean) and the two that were out were not sufficient. We couldn't get into the linen closet and only discovered the towels in the dryer on our last day. Just a communication issue...maybe looking in the dryer the first day would have been a good idea!. It would have also helped to have had some instructions on how to use the tv...we don't have any of those and so couldn't access any tv...we did have our Ipad and so were able to watch what we wanted. Just to let you know, something is going on with the two overhead lights in the kitchen, if they were on for any length of time they started flicking on and off. Thank you for the use of your home, we would definitely use it again, if availeable.

  • Overpriced and under-maintained

Pop-up board in kitchen floor, unsafe side deck, messy patios, food in frig, laundry in dryer, torn and dirty curtain in bedroom. Cobbled out of old/odd parts.Adequate kitchen & nice bathroom (grout falling out in one spot).

  • Decorated nicely but DIRTY

House is nicely appointed but it was dirty. Refrigerator has food crust on inside as well as food scrapes. Cob webs galore. The couch was so dirty we wouldn’t sit on it unless we covered it with a sheet. It needed.vacuuming but it was clogged with dirt particles. Called manager to complain he was indifferent to our concerns and told me to write a poor review. He had no interest is solving our concerns. Said he could have rented to someone else. Acted like he did us a favor.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Judy, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following:
    - A professional cleaner and the owner were at the home the night before your arrival cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing the property for your stay.
    - The refrigerator and all surfaces were wiped down. There was a jar of mustard and unopened ketchup packets left in the fridge available for guests if needed.
    - All the sheets were washed the night before and left on top of the dryer.
    - The owner also confirmed that there were no cobwebs in the home.
The owner works hard to keep the property well maintained, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!

  • Birders' dream stay

My friend and I were on our first real post-pandemic trip, and this was a our first stop. What a joyous re-introduction to travel! Fantastic location (easy walk to Paton's and Nature Conservancy) with some great walking distance restaurants and stores. Comfy, with well-equipped kitchen. Great patio for morning coffee and evening wine. :-) It's kinda too bad that there was so much good outdoors stuff nearby because it would be a nice place to just hang out. Annette (property manager?) was really great, too. I hope to return!

  • Don‚Äö√Ñ√¥t expect anything & won‚Äö√Ñ√¥t be disappointed

Whoever gave this place a 5/5 doesn't do justice to the reality of this place. My wife and I stayed there for a whole 2hrs although we had booked the place for two nights. Couldn't stand it any longer.
