This place!! It is everything you want in a lake house! It was everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. The gentle and short slope to the water, the yard, the view, the trees, the natural beauty and the peaceful quiet serenity are exactly what you want in a getaway. The interior is lovely and warm and has a cabin feel without being kitschy. The updates are so impressive and very tasteful. We will return to this place again and again. It’s also in a great location on the lake. Very close to Wind Creek State Park which has boat rentals, zip lining, hiking trails and horseback riding. But also to Russell Crossroads where dinner at Spring House was magical and Catherine’s Market is a delightful one stop shop for essentials, coffee, lunch and a smile. If you’re looking for perfection in your next lake rental this is it!!

  • LAKE SERENITY

    5/5

After staying at Lake Martin several times now, we have found our wonderful property. This adorable Lodge like cabin is in a location on the lake that is quite private, fewer boats and people and the swimming was delightful. The house was comfy and the property lovely nestled in a copse of trees with great lake views. We will be back!

  • Tranquility under the trees

    5/5

My niece and I came for a long weekend to celebrate our birthdays. The house had plenty of room for the two of us, a quaint kitchen and plenty of space to relax. We loved the A-frame house, the great back deck and side porch ,as well as the beautiful trees that gave us shade. It was very hot while we were there, so it was nice to walk out our back door, down to the dock where we could easily get into the lake. We brought our own floats so we didn’t take any of their things out, but there was plenty to choose from. The sunsets were spectacular and it was relaxing to enjoy from the seating on the dock.We made a run into Alexander City, which was about 15 minutes away, to pick up a few things from the grocery, and cooked while we were there. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, knives etc., but I would suggest that if you plan to cook ,and have a large number of people, that you bring a large skillet with you. (The one we found was of medium size.)They had a welcome book that had suggestions of places to eat and visit which was also nice. Our host,Cricket, was fun & easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had quickly. We definitely want to come back and would highly recommend it!☺️
