  • Perfect getaway!

We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin! Very clean and comfortable, and well equipped, everything we needed was there. The master bathroom is heaven, and the bed is comfortable. We stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave! This was a great location, we had activities on all parts of the Kenai Peninsula and felt the drive - even to Seward and Homer - was quite manageable. The fire pit noted in the description is no longer there, that was the only thing that didn’t fit the advertisement. The host checked in to make sure we were pleased and didn’t have any issues. Overall, a great experience!

  • Good Experience

Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would recommend it. The cabin is cozy and clean. There was dust in some nooks and crannies but nothing to detract from overall cleanliness. There were even some toiletries available, which was nice. It looked a little bigger in pictures than it was, but we weren't spending a ton of time at the cabin. The four of us were pretty comfortable, though it is a bit of a tight squeeze getting into the master bathroom where the only shower is located. That was mildly off putting because you had to go into the bedroom past the bed (where people could be sleeping) to get to the shower. The layout was a little different than I imagined, but one of our friends staying with us felt the layout was clear. Either way, for our stay, it worked because we were out of the cabin most of the time. There is a ton of storage in the master bathroom to lay out your clothes/get them out of your luggage. Tons of storage upstairs for the same. Definitely appreciated the storage as the master bedroom is basically the bed, a chest of drawers and a makeup table— but there's not really enough light to use it, so it kind of just takes up space. The washer/dryer was amazing to have, and we used it regularly. The gracious hosts provided laundry detergent and dryer sheets, which was awesome. The bed and bedding were super comfortable. Blackout curtains made it possible to actually go to sleep in the summer. The kitchen was upgraded and had everything we needed. As other reviewers stated, the cabin is in the burbs and behind a strip mall. Know that going in and you won't be disappointed. I will say that the description mentioned there was a fire pit. There was no fire pit— just a lone burnt out log in the front yard that I imagine was space for a fire pit? The neighborhood is quiet and it's not on a busy street, plus it's not far from the Kenai River. Keyless entry was a bonus so we didn't have to worry about losing the keys. Internet worked but not well enough to power Netflix. We even tried with our own account the night we payed low and hung around the cabin, but no dice. Just don't expect to do much TV watching and you're good. Another thing to note is that there is a Second Street— don't get that mixed up in your GPS or you won't end up at the cabin. For the price, this gets a 5 star review. You really couldn't get better unless you were paying more per night.
