What a super place to stay. The house sits atop a quiet little mountain. We never heard anything but nature. The house is equipped with everything you could want and the responsiveness of Pablo and the team there was awesome. The trip up the mountain off the main road takes about 15 minutes, but it's a beautiful and scenic trip or as we viewed it, a right of passage. You will need a 4x4. We brought a Bluetooth speaker and that was all we ever needed. The house has everything. We bought and left a couple towels and 10 more forks, but there were probably 20 towels there. Rooms all have AC. We only used AC at night on low with fans but were completely comfortable all day without it. (July was 85 degrees by day) The pool entertained our 12 and 13 year old's and served as a great place to chill. USE SUNSCREEN! Sun is strong there and you will burn. We interacted with Howler Monkeys one morning and saw a ton of wildlife. Bugs are big and everywhere, but also super fun to observe. It's the jungle, so expect to adapt to some of that. The house is PERFECTLY equipped and we blended big, fresh fruit drinks all day every day. There is plenty of space and with four of us we were never on top of each other. The grill is a nice touch. The main BM grocery store in Uvita (25 mins including the mountain road) is great. We bought a Styrofoam cooler and kept all the cold stuff in that to and from the house. Pablo and Lu are a call away and Pablo is one of the nicest and loyal guys you will meet. David the owner (in the states) is also very responsive. We spent 10 days but only regret we did not spend more time there. David (owner) has a very detailed list of things to do and see. We especially dug El Pavon waterfall. It's pretty private and close to the house and when we went at 4pm there was never anyone there. We went almost daily. Super! Tilapia restaurant is a couple blocks away and we ate dinner there and had drinks many of those evenings. But use David's suggestions. You will have no regrets. We all loved our 10 days there.

We just spent a return week to Casa Pacifica. As before, everything was perfect. The family enjoyed the pool everyday. Again, Lu, the manager, was informative and helpful. Pablo, the caretaker, was on call and very responsive should we need anything. I highly recommend this home as it’s just right for family fun and relaxation.
Owner's Response: "Ed, thank you for the kind remarks in your review. I am delighted that you enjoyed your return visit with your family. It is always a pleasure to have guests return and validate that our efforts to ensure an enjoyable stay are working. You are always welcome and we hope to see you again soon! - David"
This home is perfectly equipped and eager to help lower your blood pressure. It sits high on a mountain overlooking the ocean. The jungle is 25 yards away on most sides and you'll never hear a thing except the sound of nature. The pool is big and the perfect place to observe the surroundings. Bring a Bluetooth speaker for music and buy additional pineapples, fruit, Creme de Coconut and Rum and you may not ever leave. The house has plenty of towels and everything you will need in the kitchen. The washer and Dryer added the option to clean your things and rotate through towels. The grill is also a great addition. The beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. You find yourself living with the sun. You'll go to bed around 9pm and rise at 5am. Drink your coffee while watching all the parrots and wildlife pass by on their morning rituals. We even interacted with Howler Monkeys one morning.
As has been stated, you need a 4x4. The drive from the main road is a right of passage and helps you adjust to the remoteness of the home. The road is very scenic and we loved coming in and out each day. It's a 15 minute drive from the main road. Uvita is another 15 minutes. Buy a Styrofoam cooler ($5) and put all your cold stuff in it. We just kept ours in the car and carried groceries to and fro as needed.
The owner (David) is state side but manages the property flawlessly with his team on the ground there. We can not say enough about how much we liked and appreciated the home manager, Pablo. He was quick to assist with anything we needed. He even lent us his hair shaver so we could give our boys mohawks. The owner has written a very extensive and accurate activity log and if you follow it, your trip will be one you will never forget. Side Note: El Pavon Waterfall.......go around 4pm and then eat at Tilapia Restaurant right by it. We did this at least five times. The waterfall is close and you will most likely be all alone to enjoy it.
Aside from bringing a BlueTooth speaker (which we did) there was nothing we ever needed. We never turned on a TV. The Wifi was adequate and kept our two boys (12 & 13) content.
We have traveled 30 countries in three years and stayed in over 50 rental properties. This was in our top tier of all time. You won't be disappointed. Great Property and staff and we will return.
Response from owner: "Craig, thank you for your kind remarks. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Casa Pacifica and look forward to your return in the future. Pura Vida!"
