  • Great Cabin up a steep driveway.

    4/5

Overall the cabin was great for my group of 12. Everyone had their own bed. Cabin was clean and decorated well. Plenty of seating for a large group. Great views. Our only negative was really our own fault, we had a low inflated tired on our church van that didn’t allow us to get up the steep driveway. After we got the tires fixed we made it up. Just be aware the “driveway” is from the main road up to the cabin. Thankfully it’s not a long driveway but it is very steep. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.

  • Great log cabin in the mountains

    4/5

The house was great, and came with almost everything we needed for our trip. We loved the unique style of the home and having a log cabin high up in the mountain made for a unique experience. The house was beautiful, was impressed with the attention to detail. Only minor issues was that the driveway up is tight and intimidating, and the front door had trouble closing all the way, but overall it was a great experience.

The microwave didn’t work. When you are upstairs playing games it sounds like they are going to come through the master bedroom. Had to share remote for 2 televisions. A lot of stairs and railings are not sturdy. Reached out to Rebecca and explained situation and she said she had nothing else and she couldn’t direct me in a way to do anything.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Amber, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: We're sorry you feel this way about the cabin. The home was constructed in 2018 - it is a solid full hand scribe log home. We wish you would have reached out about the remotes so we have the opportunity to make things right. We were able to resolve the issue with the microwave and had it fixed. We hope you enjoyed your daughter's wedding and overall stay. Thank you for your insight, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

  • Awesome Stay even with a scary fire very close!

    5/5

This home is awesome! We loved it, and I was a little sad that my family wanted to stay on the go so much that we didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would've liked. Too much to do nearby. We were there during the time of the fires, and it was a little scary since we received alerts asking us to leave the area. We were almost in the center of the warning zone, and I ended up watching the fire all night one night...just in case the wind decided to change directions. It was blowing HARD away from us. We are not used to forest fires. The homeowner was so sweet to keep in touch with us and try to comfort us and give us needed information about the fires. She was in another state, but still tried to keep us up-to-date as best she could. She was so patient with me as I texted back and forth with her. My family decided to stay since we were not mandated to leave, although I personally persecuted them for not leaving (haha!). I highly commend the city with keeping us informed by alerts, FB sites, and through news reports. Positive things--Beautiful view; VERY clean; lots of places to sleep--especially in the basement area; 3 full restrooms plus a half bath; good water pressure in showers; plenty of kitchen supplies; big kitchen table plus a small raised table; TV in every room; BIG TV in basement room with two futons set up to watch like a theatre area, but can also be used for sleeping; movies provided; nice hot tub; nice porches in front and back with plenty of seating--even a nice swing; plenty of doors for escape in case of fire; plenty of seating in the living room area; decent parking area; board games, pool table, and arcade games; lots of extra covers for beds inside the dressers and closets; plenty of toilet paper provided. Negatives are not many--pretty good flight of stairs to carry your suitcases and stuff to get up to the home, although the basement has a door that is closer for people sleeping in that room; doors make some creaky noises that my family complained woke them up when I went to the bathroom at night upstairs (haha); Not good WIFI reception; LOTS of stairs--could be dangerous for little kids or elderly--good to bring gates to block babies from falling; the road going up to the cabin is not real long, but very steep, crooked, and one way--we wondered what we would do if we met someone going up or down; coming out onto the main road is in a sharp curve--although there was a mirror to help see. AWESOME OTHERWISE!!!
